Karnataka 6th Pay Commission has recommended 30% hike in salaries for Karnataka State Govt Employees. This is a very good news for all Karnataka State Govt Employees and Pensioners ahead of General Elections in Karnataka. Govt is likely to implement Karnataka State 6th Pay Commission Recommendations as they are in view of the Assembly Elections 2018.

5.2 lakh Karnataka state government employees,  73,000 aided institutions employees and 5.70 lakh pensioners will be benefited from 30% hike in salaries recommended by the 6th Pay Commission. The commission has submitted its report  to the Chief Minister of Karnataka on the 31st January 2018.  The 6th pay commission has recommended Rs.17,000 is the minimum pay, while maximum pay is fixed at Rs.1,50,000. 6th pay commission revised pay scales will be implemented from 1st July 2017.

Karnataka 6th Pay Commission pay scales will likely be as follows

  • Minimum Pay: Rs.17,000
  • Maximum Pay: Rs.1,50,000
  • Minimum Pension: Rs.8,500
  • Maximum Pension: Rs.75,300

Earlier the Karnataka state government vide G.O No.FD 22 SRP 2017 has constituted 6th pay commission on 1st July 2017. Karnataka 6th Pay Commission members are as follows

  • Sri M.R.Srinivasa Murthy IAS (Retd.) – Chairman
  • Sri Md.Sanauallah IAS (Retd.) – Member
  • Sri R.S.Phonde, Retired Controller, State Accounts Department – Member
  • Sri M.Manjunadha Nayak, IAS, Commissioner of Excise – Secretary.

Karnataka 6th Pay Commission Recommends 30% Salary HikeThe commission was constituted to examine the present pay structure of the employees of the Karnataka state government, Aided educational institutions, local bodies and non teaching staff of the universities taking into account the total packet of benefits including death cum retirement benefits available to the employees and to recommend new pay structure which may be feasible. Govt directed the commission to submit its report with in 4 months time.

Several state government employees associations has demanded 30% hike in salaries. Now the commission has accepted their demand and submitted its report to the Karnataka state government, and govt is likely to approve its report with in few weeks from now.
