APTET 2017 Guidelines

APTET 2017 Guidelines G.O Ms.No.91 Dated 11.12.2017 is released today. AP State govt has released APTET 2017 Guidelines regarding APTET Eligibility, APTET 2017 qualifications for paper 1 and paper 2 examination, qualifying marks, APTET 2017 Exam structure and content. This year APTET 2017 examination will be conducted online (Computer Based Test).

School Education – Guidelines for conducting Andhra Pradesh State Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act (RTE), 2009 – Orders – Issued

SCHOOL EDUCATION (EXAMS) DEPARTMENT, G.O.Ms.No.91 Dated 11.12.2017

National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi has laid down minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a Teacher for Classes I to VIII in its Principal Notification dated 23rd August, 2010 and amendments issued thereon. The minimum qualifications include a Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). Pursuant to the said Guidelines, it has been decided to conduct Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) at least once every year for all persons, who aspire to become Teachers for Classes I to VIII in all Schools (Govt. / ZP / MP / Municipal /Recognized Pvt. Aided & Pvt. Un-Aided etc.,) in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

APTET Eligibility

The candidates at the time of applying for AP-TET should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications prescribed for category of 1 to 5 classes (Paper 1) and 6 to 8 classes (Paper 2) separately. Educational Qualifications for APTET 2017 Paper 1

Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. However in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

APTET 2017 Guidelines G.O Ms.No.91 Dated 11.12.2017Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks. In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates, who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed / D.Ed., course prior to issue of these guidelines.



Educational Qualifications for APTET 2017 Paper 2

a) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In case of SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education).

b) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education) in case of the candidates, who have passed or admitted to B.Ed., course prior to issue of these guidelines.

c) 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks, in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.

d) Graduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects (OR) Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent) (OR) Graduation in Literature (OR) Post Graduation in Language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers
